- Confirm your IzoT CT/Net server PC can reach this address from a Windows command box: ping echlicserver.echelon.com
- If the license wizard is reported offline (but the computer has otherwise internet access), there might be an issue with the computer's clock or time zone. In the Control Panel- Date and Time, select Change Date and Time, confirm it is correct and press OK, then Select Change Time Zone, confirm it is correct and press OK.
- The Echelon License Wizard requires TLS 1.0. Current releases of Windows do not support TLS 1.0 by default. As an Admin user, you need to run regedit and search for this key: KEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SecurityProviders\SCHANNEL\Protocols. Right-click the Protocols key and select New->Key to create the key TLS 1.0. Right-click the key TLS 1.0 and select New->Key to create the key Client. Right-click and select New-DWORD and name this value Enabled and set the data field to 1
Start again the License Wizard
TLS 1.0 is a deprecated protocol for security reasons. You may wish to set the DWORD Enabled to 0 after you have activated your IzoT CT/Net Server license.
