HOWTO: change the driver name of a U10 or U20 network interface (KB1446)

Instructions:
1.Unplug all U10 or U20 adapters
2.Start the LonWorks Interfaces applet from the Control Panel
3.Select View-Show Detached Interface
4.Select the LONx, right-click-Remove
5.Reboot
6.Open the Windows registry (regedit.exe) and browse to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\LonWorks\DeviceDrivers (32_bit Windows) or HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\LonWorks\DeviceDrivers (64-bit Windows)
7. Delete the existing LONx entries if any.
8.Insert the USB adapter

The USB adapter should now be using LON1.

If you need to use a specific LONx number, go to the Windows registry again and change LON1 into LON2 (for example) for the folder name and the device name key.
