No. if you mistakenly downgrade a SmartServer 2.2 SR8 hardware to older software the SmartServer will no longer work and can't be fixed as it requires a chip replacement.
The SmartServer 2.2 SR8 can only use with SmartServer software 2.2 SP8 (4.12.006+).
Downgrading the SmartServer 2.2 SR8 to older software voids the SmartServer warranty.
