- If needed, create a backup of your Izot projects (however, the projects should not be affected by the re-installation as long as they are not located in the LonWorks folder)
- Return the Izot Net Server and CT licenses using the Echelon License Wizard (if applicable)
- Uninstall all LonWorks software from the computer using Control Panel-Programs. This would be any programs containing Echelon, LonMark or LonWorks in their name.
- Delete or rename any LonWorks folders on the computer (typically c:\Lonworks and c:\Program Files (x86)\LonWorks)
- Open the Windows registry using regedit.exe and browse to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\LonWorks. Rename the LonWorks registry folder
- Restart the computer
You are now ready to re-install
- Run the Izot CT installation with Run as Administrator
- You should now be prompted for the installation path. Keep the default c:\Program Files (x86)\LonWorks
- Restore the backups created in step 1 above if necessary (the GlobalDB might have been preserved depending on its location)
